Years
ago, Lt. Uhura befriended

diplomat from Eeiauo, the land of graceful,
cat-like beings. The two women

Now the Enterprise is orbiting
Eeiauo in a desperate race to save the
inhabitants before a deadly plague
destroys them. Uhura's secret songs may
hold the key to a cure - but the clues
are veiled in layers of mystery.
The plague is killing humans, threatening other
planets - and Kirk must crack the code
before the Enterprise succumbs!
Another Uhura story, well
written, but
does tend to get
bogged down
in the details
of the Eeiauoians and their songs.
How is
Eeiauo pronounced?
It's all vowels!
(Maybe they
originally came
from Hawaii . . . Hehehe . . . Just kidding!)
My guess
is: "ee-AAY-oo".
I don't know if that's correct.
Why do
authors think up names
like that?
