Book #1 of 4
Long ago, even before the days of myth and legend, our
worlds belonged to them. Now they want them back . . .
Captain Kirk is stunned when the Federation receives an
urgent plea for help - from the Klingon Empire.
A mysterious starship has invaded Klingon space and
resisted all their efforts to destroy it. Establishing
contact with the stranger's ship, Kirk discovers that it
is only the vanguard of a vast alien fleet obsessed with
conquering the Klingons, the Federation, the Romulans,
and all who dwell in the space that was once their own.
The invasion has begun . . .
The other books in this series are from
TNG, DS9 & Voyager and are NOT reviewed here.
What a great idea!
There are 4 books in this mini-series,
one for each Star Trek series.
I read them all, but this one
is by far the best. The
Next Generation book is good too,
but the DS9 and Voyager books
were a struggle to read.
The story just got too bizarre
and boring.
(Sorry to all the DS9 and Voyager
fans)
I enjoyed this book very much,
though.
It was an interesting story
idea, one which began
the trend toward multi novel
stories. I don't mind when
a story spans more than one
novel, but let's make it for
a reason, not just to drag out
the story.
If you put all four novels together
in a square you get
to see a picture of what the
aliens look like. Cool!
I've added the cover scans of all the novels,
as well as the Omnibus Edition,
for your enjoyment!
