First, take a look at the date of the last novel then the date of this novel. An entire YEAR has gone by! There used to be a new novel every 2 months! Anyway . . . This is a 3 book series that tells the story of the friendship between Jim Kirk and Gary Mitchell. Strangely enough, I wasn't very enthusiastic about reading this series when I first bought it. I'm not sure why, but it took me a while to even start the first book, but when I did I got a very pleasant surprise - it's fantastic! I couldn't put it down! The author has done an amazing job of telling this story. He has the characters of Kirk and Gary absolutely perfect. It's wonderful to read about Kirk before he was a "lady's man" and how Gary taught him to be more confident around women. You're going to love this one - and there's 2 more in the series!
